Wednesday Roll Call

Good morning one and all to the great members of this board. It is supposed to be warm today in the Chgo area but not as it was yesterday. And another threat of the showers that we had at about 230 yesterday. The down pour flooded viaducts, streets and Wrigley Field.  What does everyone have cooking today? For me work, work, work. My desk was not too buried but from what I understand one of the part time girls was like a whirling dirvish  when it came to the work while I was gone. She acts like it is the end of the world and she has to clean up all of the work herself. The other part timer told me she was driving her nuts and was glad I was back because she could not take anymore of her.  It is nice to be needed. But, I needed that full week off. I usually only take a day here or there but we had planned this time to be away for a full year and I am glad we did it.  Need to get ready for work. Smooches Christine

Good morning Christine! Yes, it is good to get away from everything and you do need at least a week off. I think we all have similar situations with employees at our jobs. Mine didn't do something because she froze up trying to do it. Go figure. I told her that she needs to learn and that she should take it one section at a time. I wasn't going to let her get away with it. She wanted me to handle it when I came back. Today I am going on a date (second) for dinner and dancing at the Wellington of Arlington.  My other new man is supposed to be coming into Chicago next weekend - so I'll see what transpires! The man from London hasn't called since Sunday, so I don't know what's with him. I just hope to keep them straight in my head and not call one by someone else's name. OMG! Good morning!  Not to much going here.  Maddie had her first sleep over at a girlfriends house last night.  Needless to say, I did not sleep very well thinking about her all night!  Just swim lessons and trying to stay cool today! Kim

Oh Mom, I bet she did just fine. In the future just let the "sleep over mom" loose sleep because the girls are probably up all night. Chris

Luc, this one girl that works with me is one of those techno phobiacs (sp?). The other girl (there are two part timers) and I cannot even get her to learn ANYTHING new. Yet, she complains that she does not KNOW how to do ANYTHING on the report writing program the officers use. So, the officers only come to the other girl and I. She will not even read her e-mail until the afternoon before she leaves work, she says she was "told" (unk by who) that you should only read your e-mail once and only at the end of the day. I have my e-mail up and running in the background all day long. I get asked to attend to things during the day and this is some of the bosses method of contacting us.  The nice thing about the Wellington is that the bar and restaurant are totally non smoking. Just be careful with these guys, there are so many guys out there that are taking advantage of women they meet on line. I personally know of a lady that lives across from my brother and she met a guy on line. He ended up being a leech.  Chris

Hi Gang, Ok I went to Marshalls yesterday and tried on a 2 piece bathing suit!!!!! By the way Lucy It did look OK!!!!!!! I didnt buy one yet!!!!!! Im waiting till I get to Florida to see what they have. Carla

Carla, try going to Kohl's right now if there is one near you. They are having fantastic sales on a lot of clothing and I think that some of it is swimming suits. They actually have good sales all year long plus nice quality clothing. Yes, you probably will get a lot of styles in FL that you cannot get elsewhere. But I have 4 2 piece and 2 1 piece suits and I get bored with them. So, you sometimes cannot have enough. Chris ps when (if you are) coming back through IL if you are before heading off to FL?
